Ever been so tired or drunk you’ve wished you could just fall asleep on the train? Well, here’s one bang in the Yorkshire Dales that you can sleep on.
Set in the wondrous Yorkshire Dales by the stunning River Nidd, The Flying Yorkshireman provides an ultra quiet and peaceful stay – something which can’t be said for Leeds station. And trust us when we say, we’ve fallen asleep there a couple of shameful times.

Creating a cosy and unique stay on their Nidderdale farm, the owners sourced reclaimed railway items to make their dream Airbnb a reality – and the results are outstanding.

The carriage features a double bedroom at the back, with a gorgeous arched ceiling giving a nod to the early 1900s Pullman style trains, and even incorporating steam train artwork into the decor.
Elsewhere, you’ll find a carriage-style seating area, too, which is perfect for gazing over the Yorkshire Dales and the nearby old Nidd Valley railway line, which actually runs throughout the farm.

If that wasn’t enough to wow you already, the quirky accommodation features a private, fresh water wood fired hot tub – something you’ll know already we’re huge fans of here at The Yorkshireman. If there’s a hot tub there, we’re down!

Built from scratch with love, the incredible train carriage boasts spectacular nature views – but even still, the views aren’t as impressive as the serious attention to detail that has gone into this project.
Nearby, guests can enjoy the quaint town of Pateley Bridge, as well as Brimham Rocks, the Coldstone Cut and some wonderful countryside walks. To find out more or to book your stay, head over to their listing here.
