We know, we know… It’s September, but for those who want to cheer up after the awful excuse of a summer we’ve had. It’s time to put that behind us and start thinking about cosy things to do in Yorkshire. With that being said, the news of a new Christmas film channel launching this month will be welcomed with open arms.
There are still 107 days until Christmas, so that’s plenty of opportunities for some classic Christmas film watching.
We aren’t sure of all the films the channel will be airing, but GREAT! Movies Christmas has played such classic films as Home Alone and Elf all day every day – can you believe it? Each day can have a sprinkle of Christmas fun. Known for feel-good low-budget TV movies, it’s sure to have you feeling festive.
The line-up of Xmas films includes such films as A Joyous Christmas, The Mistletoe Promise, The Christmas Cure and more.
We can’t wait to enjoy a few Christmas films as the weather turns colder and we all go inside to hibernate through the autumn and winter days. Getting cuddled up with hot chocolates under a blanket with the kids as you all explore what Christmas classics are on offer sounds like a great time to me.

The free channel will be accessible on Freeview: 51, Sky: 319, Sky (Glass/Stream): 317, Virgin: 424, and Freeview: 52 and Freely: 47. GREAT! Movies Christmas was made available from Thursday, September 5th to Monday, January 2025.
