Prepare to feel hot under the collar, because the Full Monty is back – with the original cast in tow for a brand new series.
Commissioned by Disney+, the brand new series will pick up 25 years later in Steel City, promising the original gang’s “chaotic entourage of children, grandchildren, pets, and assorted hangers-on.”

Mark Addy, Robert Carlyle, Lesley Sharp, Hugo Speer, Paul Barber, Steve Huison, Wim Snape and Tom Wilkinson will all return as their respective characters – all of which have gone on to have illustrious careers in the business after the 1997 hit film.
The 1997 film follows a group of unemployed steel mill workers as they figure out what to do next, before landing on a new and exciting career as a troop of strippers. The iconic soundtrack features tracks such as You Sexy Thing by Hot Chocolate, You Can Leave Your Hat On by Tom Jones and Hot Stuff by Donna Summer.
Simon Beaufoy, creator, writer and executive producer said: “We’re chuffed to bits to get all the Monty Men back together again – now with a chaotic entourage of children, grandchildren, pets, and assorted hangers-on.”

Lee Mason, director of scripted content, added: “Twenty-five years ago Simon introduced us to a group of funny, fearless, and resilient unemployed working-class men from Sheffield and the world fell in love with them.
“We’re delighted to reunite the original cast for this brand-new series on Disney+ to catch up with these iconic characters and what they’ve been up to since we last saw them on stage in all their glory, and we can’t wait to introduce a host of exciting new faces and characters.”
The eight-part series began filming just today in both Sheffield and Manchester, and will consist of 60-minute episodes.
There’s currently no expected release date for the series, however, the original film is now streaming on Disney+ for those who fancy believing in miracles all over again.
