Ever wondered what would happen if you combined golf with booze and risqué sex toys? The answer is Ghetto Golf!
Following the success of their Newcastle, Liverpool and Birmingham sites, Ghetto Golf is expanding to Yorkshire. The new site, which is set to open on John Street, will bring a boozy twist to the classic game – but this time, it won’t be family-friendly.
Boasting tongue-in-cheek adult humour by the bag-load, guests can enjoy “insta-ready’ golfing holes at every turn, with a fun, new setting for each and every challenge.
The course is described as “seriously twisted”, and takes crazy golf to the extremes – with holes featuring obstacles such as dildos, mannequins in gimp masks and much, much more! Other branches have a variety of holes, from funny, to scary, to political – so you can expect a bit of a mixed bag!
In addition to the game, guests will also get to enjoy brand new Tiki bar Birdies, which will bring beach vibes all year round to the city, with plenty of tropical cocktails and a new food hall to fill up at after a game.
For a little more context on the theme, Ghetto Golf describe their concept as “crazy golf, theatre, cocktails and DJ’s in an art infused environment that showcases the very best street art and their writers”. The bar is adult only, so unfortunately if you’re under 18 – you’re outta luck this time.
Rounds of golf cost just £10 per person and the new Sheffield bar is expected to open very soon. Stay tuned for updates.
The new Sheffield venue follows the brand’s 2020 plans to open its first Yorkshire venue in Leeds, however, protests from the locations neighbours, the Redeem Christian Churhc of God, put a spanner in the works for the development, despite the council granting the business a license to serve alcohol from 10am-1am.

The new venue will take over a site at 104 John St, Highfield, Sheffield, S2 4QU. Opening hours are yet to be confirmed.
