Out of all the hotels in Yorkshire, two have been highly commended as the best in the UK – a prestigious award given the huge amount of competition out there, even in Yorkshire alone. While you may be thinking it’ll no doubt be the most luxury of them that topped the list, you’d be wrong, with two reasonably priced 4 star hotels coming out on top.

First up is Sheffield’s Leopold Hotel, which has been awarded the Good Hotel Award for 2020. Sheffield’s only four star boutique hotel, the Leopold is set in a former Boy’s Grammar School and is conveniently located on Leopold Square close to a number of bars and restaurants. Boasting friendly staff and great customer feedback, the hotel has been awarded for service and value for guests. Room prices start at just £51 per night, with all the amenities you’d expect to feel like you’re home away from home.

Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa in Leeds also won the Good Hotel Award for 2020, with Good Hotel evaluating customer feedback over a twelve month period before awarding the hotels. The hotel resides just outside of Leeds nearby to the new shopping complex, Thorpe Park – which is home to a number of well-known retail stores and an ODEON Luxe cinema. The hotel has luxury spa facilities as well as cosy, modern rooms, and has been awarded for its room quality and service in this years awards.
A number of hotels across the country were awarded this year, with luxury spots across places such as London, Basingstoke, Liverpool and many, many more being recognised for their impeccable service. The two Yorkshire hotels were the only ones from the region to feature for 2020.
The Leopold Hotel can be found at 2 Leopold St, Sheffield City Centre, Sheffield, S1 2GZ and rooms can be booked here, while the Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa can be found at 1150 Century Way, Leeds, LS15 8ZB with rooms available to book here.
