Hebden Bridge Christmas Market Returns Next Week With Food, Crafts, & Festive Cheer

Festive cheer is in full swing in Yorkshire, even though it’s only mid-November. Temperatures have dropped this week, and a touch of snow has added an extra dash of Christmas magic. With Christmas markets in Yorkshire already in full swing, one of our favourite towns is preparing for its much-anticipated festive event next weekend.

The home of Happy Valley, Hebden Bridge, located in the Calderdale region, is set to host its Christmas market from 30th November to 1st December, between 10 am and 5 pm. Over the weekend, visitors will flock to this charming valley town to soak up the local produce and festive cheer on offer.

Hebden Bridge is one of our favourite market towns, renowned for its incredible independent shops and restaurants. Every year, it transforms into a winter wonderland nestled deep in the Yorkshire valley. With twinkling Christmas lights, quaint stalls, and the irresistible wafts of street food filling the air, this picturesque spot becomes even more magical during the festive season.

This year’s market will feature over 60 stalls offering local produce, artisan food, drinks, unique crafts, and handmade jewellery. Visitors can indulge in a variety of international street foods, alongside classic festive treats, while wandering through the town’s beautifully decorated streets.

But there’s more to enjoy beyond the market! Hebden Bridge’s talented local artists will open their studios, giving you the chance to discover one-of-a-kind gifts. Explore original paintings, handcrafted textiles, unique ceramics, and other exquisite creations, all crafted with local skill and passion.

For a hands-on experience, don’t miss the free handmade book activity on Saturday, 30th November, from 12–4 pm in the Waiting Room at Hebden Bridge Railway Station. Led by artist Jeffrey Andrews, this creative session invites visitors to colour and collage their own handmade book—perfect to keep or give as a heartfelt Christmas gift.

If you’re planning to visit the Hebden Bridge Christmas market, please note that parking in the town is limited. Visitors are encouraged to use public transport or take advantage of the park-and-ride service at Mytholmroyd railway station.
