The beloved annual Christmas event that brings to life the magic of The Polar Express movie is set to return for 2026, with tickets now on sale. A popular diary fixture for families, the annual experience sees guests meet the characters, including Father Christmas, and experience the story as told by singing chefs.
Polar Express Christmas Experience Yorkshire 2026
Operating in four locations, including Devon, Kent, London and, of course, Yorkshire, the experience begins at Leeming Bar station, where guests are picked up by a steam train before journeying on through North Yorkshire.
While on board, each guest will receive a hot chocolate and a cookie, just as they do in the film, alongside the first gift of Christmas from Father Christmas himself. The experience has quickly become one of the UK’s favourites and sells out every year.
An Adult or Child ticket includes a golden ticket to ride THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride, where you can meet characters from the iconic film during a fully immersive theatrical performance and experience a magical light show. Guests can also enjoy a delicious milk chocolate cookie and hot chocolate served by the on-board chefs, with allergy alternatives available on request.
You can read along with the story of THE POLAR EXPRESS™, before saying hello to Santa (Mr C), who will present you with the first gift of Christmas – a silver sleigh bell. Ticket holders will also have access to the gift shop, where exclusive merchandise is available. Please note that children under two will only receive a gift bell and will not receive food or drink.
2026 will mark the experience’s seventh year of bringing movie magic to life. The Polar Express experience begins on 14th November, and runs right up until 23rd December, with various time slots for each day. Ticket prices start at £35.95.
