Leeds Festival 2020 Cancelled Due To COVID-19 Pandemic
Another one bites the dust...

It seems obvious, as most of the world is at a standstill, Reading & Leeds Festival 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19 outbreak. There will be thousands of fans with tents all cleaned out, wellies are ridiculous outfits all ready that have already purchased tickets for this year’s event. The organisors Festival Republic have announced.

“We’ve been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation, and we were hopeful we could deliver the ultimate festival to you in August, something to look forward to in these strange and confusing times,” said organisers Festival Republic in a statement. “However, it’s become clear that it’s just not possible for this year’s festival to go ahead.”

“We want to extend our gratitude to our teams, artists and partners who work so hard each year. And to our fans , we’re nothing without you – we thank you for your continued support and understanding.”

The festival usually takes place at Bramham Park during August bank holiday weekend for three days. It seems only the cows will be raving in these fields this year. The headline acts this year were Rage Against The Machine, Liam Gallagher and Stormzy. So it will be a massive loss if it does not go ahead as they’re some big names!

Alec Shelbrooke, is the MP who represents Braham where the festival was to be held and had confirmed that it will not go ahead to Leeds Live.

With it looking like most things are due to be cancalled this year and we won’t be going on holiday anytime soon. We may have to look for treats at home to get us through summer 2020. Aldi have some great offers on BBQ’s and outdoor fire pits to keep you entertained.
