The Immersive Leeds Light Night Returns This Week

One of the Leeds city’s biggest is set to return this week. Leeds Light Night 2022 promises to be two nights of illuminating fun.

Get ready for Leeds’ landmarks to be lit up once for with a stunning immersive display with several light shows taking place across the city centre.

The annual light show, which has been running since 2005 brings in hundreds of thousands of visitors to the West Yorkshire city.  Leeds’s most recognisable indoor and outdoor spaces have been transformed by spectacular artworks and captivating performances by local, national and international artists.

Areas such as Millenium Square, Briggate, The Headrow and more will be transformed into a spectacle of light with each area having its own unique installations that will keep you busy for hours.

When is Leeds Light Night 2022?

Light Night 2022 is set to start tomorrow Thursday, October 13th ending on Friday 14th October. It starts at 6pm with the first show at Left Bank with other shows across the city with the finale taking place at 10:30pm on Friday.

The events across Leeds Night Light 2022 are free and don’t require a ticket – although some events such as the Illuminated Swim and the Light Night 2022 at Left Bank may need booking in advance.

There will be staff across the city ready to give you assistance and information – just look out for the fluorescent vests.

 Be aware that certain things are on at certain times, so make sure you check before you arrive to make sure you aren’t disappointed.
