Leeds German Market may have been cancelled this year, but the city is pulling out all the stops to create festive fun across the city centre. Millennium Square will play host to a Winter Wonderland where you can enjoy a drink and cocktail inside an inflatable igloo bar and 4,300 square foot outdoor ice rink.

The winter garden-themed bar will have staff in ice-themed costumes ready to greet you as well as live music, entertainment and a festive drinks menu for festive celebrations.
You can also visit one of the local and international street food stalls available from Alpine inspired chalet-style huts including authentic German bratwurst sausages, glühwein and bier, good ol’ Yorkshire pudding wraps, Canadian style poutine, pizza & garlic bread, churros, waffles, coffee, hot chocolate

From the 26th November you can also visit the huge ice rink, which will be open to the public from 12pm to 9pm, Monday to Friday, Saturdays 11am until 9pm and school holidays and 11am until 7pm on Sundays.

The popular ‘penguin club’ will also be available at 10am every Saturday and Sunday mornings, giving young children the chance to take their first steps on to the ice in a fun and safe environment with the assistance of the penguin skating aids.
A limited number of one-to-one skating lessons for beginners with a qualified coach will also be available every weekend morning and a dedicated accessible session will once again take place every Thursday morning at 10am for wheelchair users and other disabled persons.

A bit of a thrill-seeker? You can also climb aboard the 30m high Star Flyer and test your metal. There is plenty of family-friendly fun with the giant festive helter-skelter, North Pole Funhouse and a selection of Children’s’ festive-themed rides and games.
