This Burger Joint With ‘Real American’ Stacked Cheeseburgers Is Coming To Leeds

Leeds food scene is getting shaken up with the introduction of popular Newcastle American cheeseburger and breakfast place Meat:Stack in Leeds city centre. The independent burger joint serves up ‘real American’ cheeseburgers focusing on quality, flavour and simplicity – and of course, oozing cheesy goodness

The burger joint has gone from strength the strength since opening back in 2016 as a pop-up stall. It opened its first restaurant in Newcastle in July 2020 and is looking to expand into the Leeds food scene where it is expecting to open on Boar Lane in the city centre earl 2022.

They use rare and traditional bespoke cuts of beef in their patties which are smashed into a raging hot grill, covered in cheese, stack in double or triples, then steam to melt everything together. Its sauces and seasonings are freshly made in house and are designed to complement the beefy flavours perfectly

Their burgers are named after places in the USA and include a range of fries such as ‘parmesan truffle’ fries. They also serve a range of breakfast foods with hash browns and all the other good stuff!

“We wanted to be central and close to the station, so when we heard about the availability of the unit at 34 Boar Lane, it fitted the bill perfectly, not just with its location, but also with its modern, friendly, inclusive and community-orientated ethos.

“We know Leeds is big on community – and that’s crucial for us. We will be using local suppliers for the majority of our food and we want to build strong and long-standing relationships with these suppliers and, of course, with our customers.
