Is a weekend in Yorkshire complete without a proper pub roast? The definitive answer is no. Just the thought of thick gravy dripping down Yorkshire puddings has me drooling. And where better to experience the holy dish than in God’s Own Country itself. Next time you’re exploring the North York Moors, try a mouthwatering Sunday roast at one of these spectacular pubs.
1. The Star Inn at Harome

Beautifully presented with flavour oozing out of every single item on the plate, guests can enjoy dishes such as roast sirloin of Marwood’s Village reared beef and roast loin of Yorkshire-reared pork – both of which are served with locally grown veggies and trimmings. The Star Inn at Harome, Main St, Harome, Harome, near Helmsley, YO62 5JE.
