Wake Up With Sheep At Your Door At This North Yorkshire Shepherd’s Hut
Time to get at one with nature!

Just when you thought the perfect, isolated retreat didn’t exist… We found it. Set in the rural North Yorkshire Moors National Park, this Shepherd’s Hut may be small, but oh is it mighty cosy.

Big enough for only two, the spot is situated within a working hill farm, where sheep and cattle wander freely around the fields of Yorkshire and only the sounds of the secluded countryside surround.

Guests have total privacy (other than the peeping sheep, of course), with just a double bed and a wood burner to keep you company at night. All you need when spending quality time with the one you love. While you might be thinking you won’t have the amenities to feel home from home, you’d be wrong, as you’ll find a private kitchen and bathroom just a second away from your hut, as well as a BBQ and outdoor seating right outside the door, a great addition for the warmer months with a can of beer.

To help you wind down as much as possible, the owners are also available to provide breakfast hampers and BBQ hampers, so you can turn up empty handed and completely relax during your stay. All you’ll need to do is stick it all on the barby and enjoy!

The huts hold a fair bit of history in them, being a popular farming staple in the 1800s, where Victorians used them to house herdsmen while tending the sheep, and they were particularly useful during lambing time. The decor is super cosy, with farm-like checks and rustic finishes throughout the tiny hut making the space much more homely, so you’ll feel less like you’re sleeping in a hut, and more like you’re tucked up at home.

The hut costs just £80 per night to stay in, with the North York Moors right on your door step and Helmsley, Whitby and York close by for those who want to explore beautiful North Yorkshire.
