Summer is here and it is looking likely that staycation is the trend of 2021 with the coronavirus not going anywhere fast. But fear not, we’ve got the perfect anecdote for families this summer, popular attraction North Yorkshire Water Park has finished its new wakeboard park and cafe and they are opening this weekend.
The all-new wakeboarding park includes kickers, rails and other things that allow visitors to expand their skill set with the help of instructors. To celebrate they have activities planned this weekend such as a professional demonstration from Rocco Burbridge a wakeboarding professional and former TeamGB athlete.
There is also their new cafe where people can order a beer, sit on the decking area and enjoy the lake attractions. The water park is near Scarborough and also offers kayaking, an AquaPark, paddle boarding, open-water swimming, pedalos, land-based outdoor pursuits around the lakes and summer camping – as well as separate fishing lakes for expert and leisure fishing.
James Whitehead, operations manager, spoke about the new features saying: “We hope visitors enjoy the many activities we have to offer them, complemented by some delicious food and drink from our new cafe.”
