Paul Heaton is celebrating his 60th birthday in style this year by putting some money behind the bar at a range of pubs across the UK.
Heaton is now on the road in Ireland with Beautiful South bandmate Jacqui Abbott.
Heaton is well-known in Yorkshire for his success with ‘The Housemartins,’ a Hull-based band that had successes like ‘Happy Hour’ and ‘Caravan of Love,’ as well as Beautiful South, which had hits like ‘Perfect 10,’ ‘Don’t Marry Her,’ ‘Song For Whoever,’ and more.

If this gesture isn’t the perfect way to celebrate a birthday, as well as get through the dreaded Monday feeling at work – we don’t what is.
Taking to social media the post read “Here’s a list of all 60 pubs taking part in Paul’s birthday tomorrow (Monday). Thanks to all the pubs and to everyone who visits them.
“It would be great to see photos of you all enjoying your free drinks and celebrations at each pub throughout the day!”
