Peaky Blinders Is Looking For Extras From The North For The New Season

Dust of the ol’ flat cap, and nip down to the barbers as Peaky Blinders is looking for Northerners to play extras in their upcoming season. Filming looks like it is due to start on the new series of Peaky Blinders next year – and they’re looking for extras from up north.

Production on the season 6 of the popular BBC drama was paused due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it looks like they are due to start in the New Year according to a casting advert posted to Facebook.

Filming in Manchester the post on Facebook from Talent agency LB Casting Ltd is recruiting for extras read We are so excited and thankful to have this big job lined up for the start of 2021!” The advert says the parts will be for “a very well-known BBC period drama shooting early 2021 in Manchester”.

The advert has a silhouette of a man in a newsboy cap that looks similar to that of the notorious leader of the Peaky Blinders, Tommy Shelby. Most telling of all is that the advert says male actors ‘must be willing to shave hair if required’ – with the biggest sign of all being the wording ‘by order of LB Casting’ – which is a phrase most commonly used in the show.
