Talking of Christmas in May? Surely not. Well, we are and we are so excited for Roundhay Park’s Christmas trail 2022. We are talking over a million twinkling lights, seasonal sights and smells that will fill the air in Leeds.
Roundhay’s is a massive 700 acres of parkland, lakes, woodland and curated gardens, which makes it one of the biggest parks in Europe. It brings nearly a million tourists and visitors all year round.
And, for the first time ever this year, Christmas is set to take over the park as a brand new attraction. The after-dark illuminated trail through its festive garden will be a great event for families, couples and friends alike.
You can have fun wandering through sparkling tunnels of light, and under giant dangling baubles that glisten beneath the trees. It’ll run from the 8th December through to the 1st of January, so you’ll have plenty of time to catch the excitement.
And, it all that fun wasn’t enough, you could even catch a glimpse of santa before heading to the fire garden for some festive treats from independent street food vendors. Expect hot chocolates, german sausages and mulled wine – all those things that make it feel like Christmas.
