It’s no secret that we’re massive fans of Rudy’s Pizza. We’ve been harping on about them since they opened their first-ever Yorkshire pizzeria in 2020 – after they stole our hearts almost a decade ago at their original Ancoats venue. And now, the nationally loved restaurant has set its sights on York as its newest location.
Set to open this June 22nd, Rudy’s York will take over 5 High Ousegate – formally Shoe Zone – bringing their incredible Neapolitan-style pizzas to the city.
The restaurant is celebrating its launch in true Rudy’s style, too, offering 3,000 free pizzas to lucky residents who sign up ahead of the launch.
Commenting on the new opening, Neal Bates of Rudy’s Pizza, said: “We can’t wait to open our doors in York and share our Neapolitan pizzas with current Rudy’s lovers, as well as soon-to-be fans. York is renowned for its brilliant food and drink scene, vibrant visitors and unique community which Rudy’s are excited to be part of. With the 3,000 pizzas available to claim on us, we’re delighted to open with a bang and be offering a true authentic Neapolitan experience in the iconic York setting.”
Rudy’s promises ample dining space and an open kitchen, similar to their other venues, with a private ‘courtyard’ for up to 25 people to enjoy over the summer months.
While authentic Neapolitan pizza is at the heart of what Rudy’s offers, guests can also expect fantastic Italian cocktails, ever-changing specials and a selection of Italian wines, too.
