Yorkshire legend, Sean Bean is set to star in Netflix series Snowpiercer this month. The popular streaming service announced the second season of their hit show is set to start on the 25th of January. Based on a film and French Graphic novel in a barren dystopian world, the series takes place on a train in 2031 where a new ice age has taken hold of the world after attempts to stop global warming fails.
Bean, is famous for his roles in other incredible series such as Ned Stark in Game of Thrones and Richard Sharpe in TV series Sharpe. He has also had major film roles such as his biggest role as Boromir in Lord of the Rings and Bond Villian, Alec Trevelyan.
We can’t wait to see what the Sheffield actor has in store for us in this new series as he never ceases to amaze. Even in the popular Yorkshire Tea adverts, he gives a sturring performance has he announces to staff “Do it for Yorkshire!”.
Netflix announced the news of the new series on the social channels with the caption “TRAVEL ALERT Snowpiercer S2, starring actual Sean Bean, begins on Netflix on 26 January.” A clever way of acknowledging the snow and the subject of the show. We will definitely be adding this to our must-watch list!
