After what feels like a lifetime of rain, summer has finally landed with a thud, and thankfully for us Yorkshire folk – it seems we for once got the right end of the stick. Yep. The South is gloomy, the North is glorious. It’s what dreams are made of.
Celebrating the weather (and the bank holiday) in style, Leeds-based bar The Canary has announced an epic bank holiday weekend event – which will see the shipping container-style bar hosting a huge BBQ on the stunning Leeds Docks. Where better to be in the sunshine than by the water, after all?
Served alongside ice-cold pints of Northern Monk’s locally-brewed beers, The Canary will offer up a classic BBQ menu – including all the good stuff such as beef burgers, hot dogs, potato salad and so much more. This isn’t just any BBQ. This is a proper Yorkshire BBQ.
For the non-meat eaters, guests can tuck into a portobello mushroom burger and other classic sides such as coleslaw, corn on the cob and mixed salad.

The bar is loved for its waterside terrace with fantastic views of the Docks, summery cocktails and swanky city vibes.
The BBQ kicks off at 12 noon across the whole bank holiday weekend, and you can book your spot here.
The Canary resides on Leeds Docks at The Dockside, LS10 1EG.
