The beloved Wainstones Hotel of Great Broughton has officially reopened its doors – and it’s swankier than ever before.
Following a complete refurbishment, which began in January, the Wainstones Hotel is introducing a reimagined experience to the North Yorkshire village, featuring not only 20 stunning rooms but also a swish new cocktail bar and restaurant serving modern cuisine.

Sitting on the edge of the North York Moors close to The Wainstones and Roseberry Topping, guests can truly unwind in style here after a day exploring beautiful Yorkshire. Each room has been lovingly designed with luxury in mind, with stylish decor and cosy finishings, making it the perfect home from home.
There are even thoughtful touches for dog owners, too, including dog beds, pamper packs, and even a toy to take home.

Kevin Shanahan, Commercial Manager, says: “Having only started work on the existing hotel in January, it’s an incredible feeling to be welcoming our first guests already,
“We’ve considered every detail to make the hotel truly inclusive — whether you’re cycling across the
country, staying with your dog, visiting with family, or in need of a sensory-friendly space. We’re proud to reopen the doors on a venue that’s bold, beautiful, and unmistakably Yorkshire.”
At the cocktail bar and restaurant, expect show-stopping cocktails in a bold, yet sophisticated setting, with classics such as Old Fashioned and Espresso Martini on the menu. In the restaurant, guests will be able to enjoy modern, seasonal dishes with a Yorkshire twist created using local ingredients. Dishes include fresh beer-battered East Coast haddock, popcorn monkfish, and goat’s cheese ravioli – to name a few.

Additionally, guests can also make use of two private dining rooms, including a stunning blossom room and a space for guests with additional sensory needs, as well as a flexible function suite for larger events, and a new lounge and outdoor terrace.
Adjoining The Wainstones Hotel is The Stones Cafe, a laidback, yet stylish cafe open daily, which is the perfect retreat for brunch, lunch, smoothies, baked goods and much more.
A day-to-night destination for locals and visitors alike, The Wainstones Hotel and The Stones Cafe both offer a new local hotspot when exploring the northern side of the North York Moors, suiting all trips, occasions and seasons.
