Mother’s Day is around the corner and there’s nothing better than an afternoon tea treat to show ’em you care. Maybe even a bit of bubbly to go with it. The historic North Yorkshire city of York has some fantastic afternoon tea offerings, especially since it’s home to the iconic Bettys, but we are talking about something more chocolatey. After all, York is the ‘chocolate city’.

The Milner in York, next to the train station, previously named Principle, has created a delightful chocolate-themed afternoon tea inspired by the city’s heritage. The city is home to the behemoths in the chocolate world, Rowntree and Terry’s, with a legacy that spans nearly 300 years in chocolate making.
