On our visit, we sat outside with the dog and enjoyed a fish & chip takeaway, which was lovely washed down with a beer of course. The batter was crisp and golden – a must if you ask us. And the chips were cooked to perfection. The outside seating area also offers up a great view over the bay – and, although the weather wasn’t the best on our visit – it would be perfect in the summer months.

If you’d like to sit inside, you’re greeted with a quaint space with panoramic views on offer throughout the restaurant. Boothed seating lines the edges with tables in the middle. When it’s busy there is a great bustling atmosphere with the aromas from the kitchen floating across the restaurant.

Inside is a bustling restaurant that offers a whole host of seafood as well as fish & chips all fresh and carefully selected from the fish market in Whitby. The crab and lobster are caught daily in Whitby and are included in such dishes as lobster thermidor, seafood platters hot and cold and even a Fruit De Mer between two.

You can also enjoy fresh oysters, fresh moules mariniere, lobster bisque and more. On our next visit, we’ll definitely be eating inside and tucking into some fresh crab or lobster for sure. We are suckers for oysters as well, so we may have to chug a few down with a little tobacco and lemon.
