This Enchanted Woodland Wonderland Is Returning To Yorkshire This Christmas

Christmas talk in June? Go on then. Another fantastic festive event has announced its return. This time its the turn of Sewerby Winter Woodland that is set to come alive in an immersive experience with lights, sounds and special effects making it a night to remember.

Taking place from Friday 6th to Sunday 22nd December the East Yorkshire venue, Sewerby Hall and Gardens is a wonderfully magical place all year round. But, its Christmas festival has to be the pinnacle of its events and is fun for the whole family.

What to expect at Sewerby Hall Winter Wonderland 2024…

Give us twinkling Christmas lights, hot steaming mugs of mulled wine and all the tasty treats that come along with festive fun. This East Yorkshire winter wonderland has all that and more. Sewerby Hall and Gardens near Bridlington is home to a winter wonderland that bring the grounds to life for a festive evening like no other.

It’s event last year was a smashing success, and it seems that this year it is set to be an even bigger event with a new pantomime theme with a cast of well-loved characters that will wander the grounds and hall. Expect to see the likes of Golden Goose, whose magic lights the surrounding woodland so villages can dance and be merry.

The Old King Troll, who is awaken from the celebration, wants the woodland for himself and kidnaps that goose, it up to you to follow the trail of golden eggs and clues. Puss in Boots and his panto crew need your help to defeat the Old King Troll in order to celebrate Christmas at Sewerby Hall and Gardens with a massive light show.

As well as the fantastic woodland light displays you can took into food at the Clock Tower Café, Stables Pizza Company, Love Hog Roast and Peaky Grinders. There will be a few bevvies being served from  The courtyard marquee will house a licensed bar from Louisiana Bars.

Marie Gascoigne, general manager at Sewerby Hall and Gardens, said: “The Winter Woodland is one of the highlights of our year here.   The whole venue and grounds are magically transformed, and it is always amazingly popular with visitors, so I would encourage people to book early.”  

Early bird tickets that are discounted are set to go on sale Friday 28th June, and, this year, you can pay in instalments when you make a telephone booking over £50, which will help those during the cost of living crisis.
