Winter feels like it has been going on forever (and it’s been so wet). So, the idea of flowers in bloom seems a long way off. But we’ve started spotting snowdrops offering flecks of white and a small moment of hope; we always see this as the first sign that spring will soon be back. And if you need something to look forward to, Farmer Copleys — best known for its pumpkin festivals as well as family run farm shop, café, function space and events centre — is putting on its annual Tulip Festival.
Who needs to head over to the Netherlands? As spring unfolds its vibrant colours have come to life, and the farm is offering this enchanting experience where you can stroll through all the enticing rainbow fields – and maybe take a snap for Insta?

The family-run farm is inviting everyone to enjoy fields of tulips this April. Based in West Yorkshire between Pontefract and Featherstone, they’ve planted 600,00 bulbs bulbs in addition to the 517,000 individual bulbs we planted last year, meaning for our Tulip Festival 2026, over 1 million bulbs have been planted, consisting of 100+ different varieties across eight acres. These consist of 100 different varieties of all shapes and colours that arrived directly from Holland. Varieties include: Carnaval de Rio, Tom Pouce, Gavota, Lily Flowering Mix, Blushing Appledorn, Wedding Dress and Rodolfo.
The tulip festival is set to take place from Monday 13th April to Sunday 3rd May 2026, with ticket prices starting from just £9. From early bloomers to mid- and late-season varieties, the farm is set to keep visitors surrounded by tulips throughout the festival, with a constant flow of flowers in bloom. Each variety brings its own burst of colour, shape and size.

Set in a picturesque landscape, visitors can enjoy a stroll through the tulip fields and let themselves be enveloped in a burst of colour — something that feels especially welcome after a bleak winter.
With over one million tulips planted across more than 100 varieties, this year’s festival promises an unforgettable burst of colour. Visitors can take in the views from a giant observation wheel, snap pictures at brand-new photo opportunities for 2026, and wander through pick-your-own tulip gardens to create their own perfect bouquet. There’ll also be a range of food and drink stalls to enjoy, live music throughout the event, and plenty more exciting surprises still to be revealed.
It’s a family-friendly experience in nature, offering a chance to unwind in a stunning part of the country. There will be photo opportunities across the fields, giving visitors the chance to capture the perfect memory and let Mother Nature inspire their creativity.
