This Hidden Hull Restaurant Has Been Added To The Michelin Guide

So, the news that the Hull city restaurant located in the popular Trinity Square has made it into the Michelin guide has made our year. The quaint restaurant and bakery is everything and more and epitomises Hull’s culinary growth over the past few years.

A bakery by day, restaurant by night, Hearth in Hull’s Old Town area serves up fresh artisan baked goods, pastries, and more as well as offering an intimate setting upstairs in the dining room where you can dine by candlelight, offering up small plates, large plates and a range of sides that will knock your socks off.

The breads and desserts are made fresh in the downstairs bakery – and no matter what you order, every dish is packed full of flavour. The look of a dish is as important – and they absolutely deliver on quality.

The Michelin guides description of Hearth in Hull’s city centre says: “Run by a trio of friends and located among some fine buildings in the old part of town, this buzzy spot operates over two levels. The ground floor houses a bar and bakery, while the upstairs is home to the rustic two-room restaurant.

“The menu fuses small plates with larger dishes, often coming from the grill – or ‘hearth’ – that takes centre stage in the open kitchen. Start with sourdough from the bakery, then make sure you check the boards for daily specials, as you might get to enjoy delicious seasonal produce like Yorkshire grouse.”
