It may be raining right now, but we’ve got faith that the sun will shine this summer – and we’ve got the perfect event for clear skies in the form of the Doncaster Balloon Festival. Set to include incredible aerial displays, an immersive Viking experience, fireworks, and much more, it’s sure to be a memorable event.
Taking place across two days this month, it’s a real highlight for the City of Doncaster and is expected to bring in thousands of visitors. From thrill-seekers to those looking for a fun day out, the festival has something for everyone. And, to top it off, the festival features a fantastic hot air balloon display.
Get up close and personal with the hot air balloons as they inflate in preparation for takeoff, checking out all the different shapes and sizes before watching them take flight. The way they float in the sky is like defying gravity and is a spectacle you don’t want to miss.
But, it’s not just the hot air balloons that are there to keep you entertained. You can also enjoy the live arena, where there will be a range of fantastic activities from huge freestyle motocross riding tricks to an incredible American Civil War reenactment, and parachute feats by the Jump Dogs Parachute team, as well as an immersive Circus Workshop experience.
The event takes place from Friday, 19th July to Saturday, 20th July 2024, with ticket prices starting from £4.75. There will be festival food and drink as well as local traders selling a range of items.
