Seems that a local Leeds Superdrug store knows more about what their audience wants than the marketing whizzes at the Superdrug headquarters as their TikTok account has become more popular than the retailer’s main account. The quirky videos made by staff have been viewed by millions of people – and it’s easy to see why.
The Superdrug found in White Rose Shopping Centre’s TikTok ‘Superdrugwhiterose’ has over 100k followers compared to the retailer’s main account that has just 57k followers.
The store’s staff videos are proving quite popular with hits such as ‘Takeover Tuesday’, where staff answer questions from customers such as ‘what products get rid of spots?’. They also do themed and seasonal videos, including Halloween and autumnal ones and even their own promotion of lip balm for the colder weather.
Their lip balm video displays some of the shops best products in an entertaining fashion and shows that these workers know more than just how to stack shelves. The staff also perform some viral TikTok dances, which are entertaining, and full of character. The prank my manager video has over 200k views on it also!
Our favourite is trying to get John to bark like a dog! It’s nice to see a workforce with such creativity, and what a fun way for customers to learn about products and engage with their local stores.
We can’t wait to see what festive fun the staff have planned for Christmas! Keep up the good work! Check out their TikTok page here.
Give these guys a raise!
