These Yorkshire Pubs Have Launched An Entire Menu Of Crisp Butties

I don’t care what anyone says, crisp sandwiches are top-tier meals. They can take any boring sandwich and turn it into the most satisfying dinner ever. A peanut butter sandwich with prawn cocktail Seabrook is a taste of childhood for me. Well, this nostalgic treat is being added to a Yorkshire pub chain’s menu – and we can’t wait to try it.

The Beerhouses Pub Group, which has pubs in Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Wakefield and others along the Transpennine Ale Trail has announced a new crips butty menu that sounds absolutely incredible. From crinkle cut crisps, combo butties and sharing platters the new menu has us salivating at the mouth.

These amazing sandwiches will be served on nice crispy sourdough bread and with the option of “lashing of Lurpack” will accompany a few ales nicely.

The choice of crisps on offer are Seabrook plain, salt and vinegar, cheese and onion, or Canadian ham; Monster Munch, Bacon Fries Scampi Fries, Squares, salt and vinegar or Wotsits.

The combo butties section is where the pub chain has got creative and features combinations such as Bacon Fries and Wotsits named “Cheese and Bacon”. You can have a “Surf and Turf” which is of course Bacon Fries and Scampi Fries. Our favourite is the “Double Cheese & Onion” which features Monster Munch, Wotsits and cheese and onion Seabrook.

For those with a palette for the finer things, you can get a 7-course taster menu that includes hot pork scratchings, poppadoms and dip, Monster Munch, Bacon Fries, Scampi Fries – and two bags of Seabrook crisps.
