This popular restaurant in Beverley has had a bit of fun at Boris Johnson’s expense with their new wine and cheese festive evening named, “The Number 10 Cheese & Wine “Business Meeting”‘.
The hilarious dig comes in the wake of the Prime Minister and the Conservative party being accused of breaking lockdown restrictions last Christmas by hosting a party under the guise of a “business meeting”.

Posting the event to Facebook they wrote: “December 18th In the Bar (office) 7.30pm.”
“A selection of 5 cheeses served with 3 matching wines alongside supper Of Boeuf Bourguignon & Truffled Tartiflette au Rollright ‘Anglaise’”
They had to post that “For clarity this is an actual event as well as a p**s take – only 8 places left!” They may be had to do so as another Facebook event, ‘Christmas Eve at Number 10’ went viral over 1 million guests expected to turn up. Organised by Jon Mancini, it was a tongue in cheek joke about the current news about the party that didn’t happen last Christmas when the country was under tier 3 restrictions.

To try and secure one of the last remaining places, contact James via WhatsApp on 07736735418. Tickets are £55 per person.
Bear in mind that if you are an MP The Pig & Whistle has said: “If you are an MP you are cordially reminded you are NOT invited to this event that is defo not a party!”
