We love a good dog walk. It’s great for the mind and nice to be out in nature. But, walking the same lane every day can get a bit samey. For us, not the dog. She would sniff that same lane every day for the rest of her life and be happy. With so much green space in Yorkshire, it would be rude not to get out and celebrate it.
Petsure, pet insurance experts, have made it their mission to find some of the best dog-walking spots in the UK and have researched based on social media data. Whether it’s fun city park walks or more challenging countryside trails, there are many beautiful spots to keep your dog physically and mentally active. And they’ve found that two West Yorkshire spots are among the most scenic dog walks in the UK.
Dovestone Reservoir was named second place with 7,647 Instagram posts and 1,785 TikTok posts. Situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park, Dovestone Reservoir offers a mix of picturesque views, serene water, and lush greenery. It’s an ideal location for both leisurely walks and more vigorous hikes.

In third place was Roundhay Park in Leeds with over 75k Instagram posts and 1k TikTok posts. The city park is one of the biggest of its kind at 700 acres, making it a great spot for you and your pooch to explore.
