Ever since Sarah Lancashire donned her uniform for the final series of Happy Valley, fans have been hoping for some kind of reprisal. While her performance in Netflix’s Black Doves was superb, she has truly outdone herself in her latest role.
In a new advert for Yorkshire Tea, Sarah steps back into uniform (albeit a different one) to deliver her most entertaining performance yet—as a security guard investigating the case of the missing biscuits at Yorkshire Tea headquarters.

Yorkshire Tea is renowned for its brilliant adverts brimming with nods to Yorkshire culture. Sarah joins a lineup of iconic Yorkshire personalities, including Sean Bean with his memorable “Do it for Yorkshire” monologue and Patrick Stewart’s stirring speech at a colleague’s leaving do.
In this hilarious sequence, Sarah plays a role reminiscent of her iconic Happy Valley character Catherine Cawood. She uncovers the mystery of the missing biscuits, interrogating staff—played by actual Yorkshire Tea employees—to get to the bottom of the biscuit disappearance.

Speaking about her role Sarah said she was “thrilled to join the Yorkshire Tea family and spearhead the investigation of who stole Pat’s biscuits,” Goodhouse Keeping reported. She added: “You’ll have to watch the advert to find out who the guilty party is, but they were a worthy adversary.”
