We know that you don’t want to be paying for small portions and this Yard & Coop Fried Chicken Afternoon Tea in Leeds is definitely not small.
They serve up a three-tiered fried chicken feast with gin cocktails in huge balloon glasses which aren’t skimping on the gin. The Yard & Coop fried chicken afternoon tea is the best afternoon tea that Leeds city centre has to offer. Their crispy signature buttermilk fried chicken and dipping sauces are the tastiest we’ve tried in Leeds.
We love anything creative and new and the three-tiered chicken feast that ticks both of those boxes and will have you full and satisfied for sure. The first tea is a Dirty Bird for two, which is loaded fries served with cheese sauce, buttermilk fried chicken and crispy bacon. Smothered with one of their signature sauces such as spicy Bee’s Knees, Dr Pepper BBQ and blue cheese sauces.
Then the middle tier has sliders with buttermilk fried chicken and adobo chilli mayo, Grandma’s stuffing balls and our signature Amaizeballs served with a selection of our homemade chicken gravy and Korean sauces.
The top tier has all the goodies to satisfy your sweet tooth with an assortment of cupcakes, fresh strawberries, a mountain of marshmallows and chocolate dipping sauce.
Wash all this down with a lovely gin from their drinks menu which includes signature ones such as the Jimi Hendrix, which is made up of El Jimador Blanco and lime juice served with elderflower tonic and rosemary, blueberry and lime – yum. Check out the rest of their gins here.
