There is nothing like a gin & tonic in the summer sun, and we are gasping for a few drinks after a hard week in the office. This heatwave has had us gasping for the ice creams in the office, but we’ll settle for York Gin’s new G&T in a can.

York’s G&T comes in two flavours, the classic G&T and the Berry Fizz, which is a lovely refreshing natural fruit option that will go down nicely. Both are made using the North Yorkshire companies’ award-winning gin and a bespoke tonic – fancy!
The new drinks are just £3 a can and £11 for a 4 pack, or if you’re having a party you can get a 16 pack for £40. The cans contain 250ml and are 6.5%. York Gin makes six world-class gins in the ancient City of York’s only distillery, using traditional methods perfected over centuries.

Says York Gin co-founder, Pete McNichol: ‘We’ve been experimenting with the gin and tonic recipes for several months – it’s harder than you might imagine to make the perfect G&T in a can. But we’re there! Our premium light tonic complements our London Dry gin beautifully.
‘At 6.5%, the tonic doesn’t overpower the gin – it’s an excellent classic G&T that we believe is up there with the best on the market. The Berry Fizz is a lovely refreshing option with natural fruit – it will go down a storm in the current heatwave.’

You will be able to get them online at the York Gin website here, as well as House of Townend wine merchants, online at Master of Malt, at the House of the Trembling Madness in York, Field & Fawcett wine merchants just outside York, McMillans of Malton, Tate Smith, and a rapidly growing list of other wholesalers and retailers.
Last Christmas York Gin released their full-strength chocolate & orange gin that is a nod to Terry’s Chocolate Orange, which was created in York. And, they’ve got all the history of Yorkshire in this classic hat tilt to the nation’s favourite chocolate.
