A Fun Night Market With Street Food & Craft Beers Is Coming To York

Following the success of night markets around the country in big cities such as Manchester and London, York is set to get its very own – with a one-off event set to take place this month.

Taking over the Shambles Market, York Creatives have teamed up with The Market Cat and Make It York for the special occasion, with organisers hoping to make it a more permanent fixture in the city.

Bringing food, drink, crafts and more to the market, guests will be able to browse beautiful creations from a number of local traders – including candle makers, textiles, baked goods, street food and so much more.

The Market Cat will also be hosting an outdoor bar for the occasion, with a number of craft beers available to try alongside a selection of wines, spirits and their beloved stone baked pizzas.

The new date will be Friday 17th September between 7pm and 10:30pm. Amid safety concens, the organisers have added security measures to ensure customers safety and enjoyment. You can enjoy the music of DJ Baker-Hood, you will be spinning vinyl on the night.

Ben Porter of York Creatives told York Mix: “The market is such an underused space in the evenings, with great potential to bring people together.

“We hope the Night Market can become a regular feature throughout the spring and summer months, bringing in exciting artists and independent traders from across the north of England.”
