4. Beck Hall

England’s first 100% plant-based hotel, the magical Beck Hall is one of the most ideally located hotels in the Yorkshire Dales sitting at the foot of Malham Cove, a huge curving amphitheatre-shaped cliff formation of limestone rock. Surrounded by rolling hills and the magical limestone landscape it’s the perfect escape from the everyday.
One of our favourite stays due to how dog-friendly it is, the boutique hotel is home to 21 rooms and is slap bang in the middle in one of the most places to visit with the likes of Gordale Scar and Janet’s Foss waterfall on its doorstep.

4. Yorebridge House

This boutique hotel is located in the heart of Wensleydale in the stunning Yorkshire Dales sat next to the River Ure on the edge of the village of Bainbridge. It’s not too far from one of the most popular Dales waterfalls Aysgarth Falls, made famous by Kevin Costner in Robin Hood. It is made up of a former headmaster’s house and an adjacent schoolhouse. We enjoyed a stay in the schoolhouse, which had a fantastic hot tub that overlooked the river.
Inside you’ll find stunning modern decor mixed with classic Dales open fires, flagstone floors and leather sofas. The hotel has plenty of accolades to its name including 5-Star & 3 AA Rossettes. Sharing their passion for luxury and fine dining.

Situated near West Witton, just a stone’s throw south of the River Ure, the Wensleydale Heifer is a beautiful boutique Yorkshire Dales hotel said to have been a favourite of Alf and his wife Joan, with the pair dining there often when visiting the Dales. The building dates back to the 15th century, and this Yorkshire Dales hotel is anything but old-fashioned. Home to a Michelin Star restaurant thanks to chef patron Michael Wignall the Scandi-style rooms are a breath of fresh air in the Dales.
