What would usually be a bustling month for Yorkshire’s seaside communities, April has seen our favourite seaside towns appear completely abandoned as the entire country remains on a strict lockdown. And now, locals have taken to Instagram during their sanctioned daily exercise to show the dramatic sights – with hardly a seagull in sight.
It’s a strange feeling to see places that we have so many childhood memories so empty, with not a single soul in sight, or even a photographic sentiment of the scent of fish and vinegar along the seafront. And while it’s eery to see, we couldn’t be prouder of our fellow Yorkshiremen for banding together during this tough time and sticking to the lockdown rules. Check out the images below:
