You Can Visit Hundreds Of UK’s Iconic Heritage Sites For Free Starting This Weekend

Looking for something to do with the kids without breaking the bank? Well, for one week hundreds of the UK’s top heritage sites are opening their doors for free all thanks to National Lottery Open Week.

You can visit the likes of Yorkshire Sculpture Park for free with other such as Harewood House giving you special offers this weekend and next week. March 7th to 15th, 2026.

The National Lotter raises money for ‘Good Causes’ and thanks to us playing £30 million is raised each week. As a thanks, hundreds of participating venues are offering special deals such as free entry, 50% off, or complimnetary gifts for National Lotter Open Week. You just have to show any National Lottery Ticket, either physical or digital upon arrival. Just be sure to check before you visit as some may need you to pre-book.

It was very popular last year with over 800 vnues taking part and 100,000 people taking up these one-off offers. And, why would you not? It’s a great oppurtunity to explore your local area.
