It’s an exciting weekend for Yorkshire as Emerald Fennell’s star-studded adaptation of Wuthering Heights starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi hits cinemas. In celebration of the release, Airbnb has created the film’s set piece for three lucky couples to stay in, free of charge.
A historic Halifax Manor, Holdsworth House, where the cast also stayed, has been transformed into an exact replica of Cathy’s bedroom to mark the release. Airbnb is offering three couples (or pairs) a chance to spend a night in a Yorkshire manor house. Guests can step through a dark red antechamber with velvet carpets and flickering lanterns before heading into the all-pink boudoir, which is full of detail.
On the window, guests will see “Catherine Earnshaw, Catherine Linton, Catherine Heathcliff” scrawled on the window representing all her marriage names.
As well as a night stay, there is an itinerary of events across Yorkshire that includes: a horseback ride across the moorlands, a classic Yorkshire afternoon tea, an evening inspired by dinner at Edgar Linton’s home, Thrushcross Grange and a film-themed breakfast the following morning.
There are three one-night stays up for grabs at Holdsworth House in Halifax between 27th February and 4th March. It’s a family-owned Jacobean manor where the film’s cast and director were during shooting.
