Halloween and bonfire night are out of the way, and we can finally start getting excited about Christmas coming to Yorkshire. And, this year is extra special as a new Christmas film filmed in Yorkshire is set to hit our screens. A new trailer for Tinsel Town, a Christmas film for SKY, has been released, starring none other than Golden Globe-winning actor Kiefer Sutherland.
Kiefer Sutherland, along with Rebel Wilson and some other British celebs, were spotted filming the new Christmas film at the end of January in Knaresborough. The film is directed by Chris Foggin whose previous credits include the feel-good hit film Bank of Dave. It was also written by Piers Ashworth, who also co-wrote the Netflix hit.
The film is sure to be a hit with its all-star cast from both the UK and across the pond including Danny Dyer, Lucien Laviscount, Jason Manford and Katherine Ryan, along with the Hollywood stars. It tells the story of a failed Hollywood action hero who is tricked into starring in a small English town’s chaotic Christmas pantomime with some unexpected twists and turns. Will he rediscover the love of the magical season with the help of the town’s colourful cast of oddball locals, including no-nonsense choreographer Jill (Rebel Wilson)?
