If there’s one person who knows the Yorkshire Dales like the back of their hand, it’s Amanda Owen. Star of Our Yorkshire Farm and practically royalty here in Yorkshire, the TV star lent her knowledge to BBC Four’s Winter Walks show this week, showcasing her favourite winter walk for fans to try out for themselves.
Hosted by a new, familiar face every single week, the show found success last year as the country remained in a restrictive lockdown – forcing Brits to turn to their local countryside for new sights and strolls.

Launching the second series just last night, Amanda Owen stretched her legs just a short drive from her home at Ravenseat Farm (soon to be Anty Johns), taking in the stunning sights of Bainbridge and beyond.
Starting off in Bainbridge, the Yorkshire Shepherdess pottered along the River Bain to start off her walk, before venturing on Bough Hill, Roman Road, Wether Fell, Craig Side Road and ultimately, Semer Water.

Available to view now on BBC iPlayer, the show was a great opportunity for fans to get their fix of the Yorkshire Shepherdess as we await more episodes of Our Yorkshire Farm, with plenty of stunning Yorkshire Dales scenery to take in rivalling that displayed in her flagship Channel 5 show.
For those wanting to try out the walk for themselves, you can steam series 2 episode 1 now.
Our Yorkshire Farm is confirmed to return for at least five more episodes on Channel 5, with Channel 5 commissioning the episodes quite some time ago. A release date is yet to be announced, but you can stay up to date right here for the latest.
