Last winter saw the last episode of Channel 5’s series featuring The Owen family on Raveseat Farm, and since the shock separation of Amanda and Clive this week, we all have the same question on our lips… Will there be another series of Our Yorkshire Farm?
The Owen Family on Ravenseat Farm captured our hearts with their hit Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm – and even though series 5 has come to an end, there is no need to worry, as series 6 is still very much on the cards.
Channel 5 announced earlier last year that they’d ordered 20 hour-long episodes of our favourite programme – eight of which made up series 4 and seven in series 5, which should leave five more episodes left from the Yorkshire Shepherdess and Renegade Pictures.

In the last episode of the series, Clive and Amanda grafted on Ravenseat Farm, while the children enjoyed the late summer heatwave in their idyllic setting, swimming and horse riding during their extended summer break. Nancy started her preparation for school, leaving the farm empty of children for the first time in 20 years.
Now, as the couple separates, fans will be keen to see how the family moves forward – with many viewers sure to relate to Amanda and Clive’s struggles as a couple (their candidness is why we love them so much, after all!).
Previously, there was talk of the family moving away from Ravenseat Farm, which they rent from the billionaire co-founder of DFS – with the family starting a new project at Anty Johns in Upper Swaledale, just one mile down the road from the farm.

So, will there be an Our Yorkshire Farm series six?
We most definitely have our ear to the ground when it comes to news of filming beginning for a series 6, but unfortunately, there’s been radio silence for quite some time.
Similarly to the previous series, we may see the show return later into winter, showcasing summer on the farm with all the family.
Since the split, representatives from Channel 5 have reassured fans, saying in a statement: “We respect the privacy of Amanda and Clive Owen at this time. They are very much a part of the Channel 5 family and we will continue to work with them in the future.”
The statement didn’t quite elaborate on what capacity they’d continue working with the Owens in, however, it’s unlikely that the couple’s separation will affect the show, particularly given that the pair will continue to work together on the far.
Daniel Pearl, commissioning editor at Channel 5 said last year: “Our Yorkshire Farm is such a special programme. It’s more than just a heart-warming documentary, it is a deeper exploration of family bonds, parenting styles and the desire among so many of us to live closer to nature. “
“The Owens are a true inspiration and I can’t wait to see what these next two years will bring.”
No date has been revealed for a potential series six, however, you can stay in their Shepherd’s Hut and take in the beautiful views for yourself in the meantime, or pop by for a bit of Cream Tea with Tony the Pony.
