It’s no secret that Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen is proud as punch of his nine children, regularly sharing updates about her brood and their many achievements. And this week, it’s eldest daughter Raven who’s enjoying a bit of the spotlight from her famous mother.
Sharing a heartwarming update via Twitter, Amanda Owen announced that 21-year-old Raven has been spending her time volunteering for the NHS, after graduating from York St. John’s University with a degree in biomedical science.
The smart cookie achieved a first-class degree, with an impressive 72.6% award mark back in July.
Now, in addition to helping her family on Ravenseat Farm – which the family has been tackling together throughout the heatwave – Raven has been helping out the incredibly over-worked NHS, with Amanda announcing the achievement with a wholesome snap of Raven posing with her official thank you note.
The image was shared alongside the caption: “Considerate and kind. That’ll do.”, and the note to Raven from York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals read: “On National Volunteers Week, we would like to take the time to thank you for your dedication to both our staff and patients.
“Please find enclosed a special volunteering pin to recognise and thank you for your contribution to our Trust. Whatever your role, we are so grateful to all of you for making a difference each and every visit.”
The announcement was met with a ton of lovely messages from fans, all congratulating Raven for her achievement and dubbing the young woman an “inspiration” and “good example to your siblings and all young people”.
Raven is frequently seen on Our Yorkshire Farm, the show she co-stars in alongside her eight siblings and parents, Amanda and Clive Owen.
The show is currently on hiatus, however, is expected to return later this year with new episodes on Channel 5. Stay tuned for more!
