The restaurant initially took up a pop-up space in the Fruit Market before securing a permanent spot on Humber Street. The small independent restaurant and bar focuses on the flavours of Asia, with tastes of South East Asia and Thailand being a big focus.

All served with a big slice of punk rock. You can either choose a casual dining option, selecting from the small plates menu, or opt for a tasting menu style concept which gives you a flavour of The Social Distortion’s seasonal menu. 3. Anti Saute Saute Club

The Anti Saute Saute Club is a cool pop-up based on Princes Ave in the trendy bar, Accomplice. We visited earlier this year for the bottomless steak offer, and it exceeded our expectations by far. These guys like to get creative in the kitchen and know how to offer something extra special. With the beautiful venue as the perfect backdrop, this Hull restaurant is a real treat.

They’re known for their ever-changing menus – and currently, their small plates include smash burger tacos, wok-sautéed salt & pepper chips, tasty buttermilk chicken popcorn, and more. And did we mention they serve up an Anti Saute roast that includes slow-cooked brisket bourguignon? I’m salivating just writing that. Address: 26-28 Princes Ave, Hull HU5 3QQ.

4. Mancia Sicilian Italian

Bringing an authentic taste of Sicily to Hull, this Newland Ave restaurant serves up fresh and vibrant dishes that ooze flavour. They are currently offering a small plates-style dining experience so you can try more of their menu at an affordable price when visiting – what more could you ask for? From the sugo di casa to the lasagna della mamma, you know you’re getting irresistible food with spot-on service.

Located on Beverley Road next to the railway bridge, this cafe bar, HOME, is the definition of a hidden gem. Situated on one of the busiest roads in the city, it could quite easily be seen as just another cafe serving sandwiches and coffee, but this cosy cafe spot offers an ever-changing menu of tasty dishes packed full of flavour, alongside great wines, craft ales, and more. The venue lives up to its name; when you walk into the restaurant, you’re greeted with a warm environment.

The menu includes dishes such as Yorkshire rib-eye steak with fries, seafood linguine with king prawns, mussels, and squid in a white wine sauce.
