Love an afternoon tea, but looking for something different? If so, this American-style afternoon tea is for you. You can swap out your delicate sandwiches and tea for smash patty burgers, milkshakes and cocktails at this incredible Yorkshire diner.
The huge creation loaded with American favourites is brought to you by Beverley Hills diner in Beverley, East Yorkshire who’ve put a cool spin on on an afternoon tea. The restaurant is inspired by classic US films and that diner experience.
The mammoth afternoon boasts three tiers of goodies as well as some sides thrown in for good measure. Yo can enjoy smashed patties and chicken burgers, a range of chicken wings with bbq dip, and assortment of desserts including brownies, macarons, huge fresh made waffles and more.
The sides consists of the classic tatter tots as well as onion rings and more. It may be designed for two, but you’ll be sure to struggle to finish this absolute treat.

The smashed beef burgers were a favourite of the American afternoon tea experience in Yorkshire as well as the chicken wings and tatter tots.
If the food wasn’ enough, the diner also do film inspired cocktails and we washed ours down with a Pulp Fiction alcoholic milkshake and a Marilyn Monroe gin fizz. You can even get snaps printed on your cocktails and we were greeted with The Yorkshireman logo, much to our surprise. You can also enjoy Godfather-theme cocktails and Beverley Hills Cop, Clueless and Breakfast at Tiffany’s bevvies as well.

It’s a fantastic and unique experience to try in East Yorkshire – and is sure to go down a treat. We enjoyed our trip – and would definitely visit again, if only to make our way through that cocktail list.
