Channel 5 Has Begun Filming Fo ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ Series Four

Get excited! We are heading back to Grassington as the All Creatures Great and Small cast is set to take over the quaint town to film the Channel 5 remake of the classic 1970s series inspired by the works of Yorkshire vet James Herriot.

Star of the show who plays the owner of the Skeldale vet practice Seigfried Farnon took to Twitter to announce: “I hope these rhymes are not a bore; Today we started Season Four. (To second-guess your naming queries We’re also starting Four: The Series).”

His tweet is a little nod towards both the British and American audiences who refer to a series as a season like its referred to in Britain.

The tweet by Samuel West also featured a clapperboard with scene one, slate one and take one to highlight the fact it’s a new series with the comment: “Four Year, four boards. Thank you for making it possible #ACGAS”.

The scene looks like the medicine room at Skeldale House, which is an obvious choice to start with for the new series of the Channel 5 show.

With the latest series overshadowed by World War Two, it’ll be interesting to see what lies ahead for the new series. Who will be going off to fight in the war?

We can wait to see Grassington once again transformed into Darrowby village once more with all the shop fronts looking even more idyllic than usual.
