Grassington Transforms Again As ‘All Creatures Great And Small’ Series 3 Filming Continues

Channel 5’All Creatures Great and Small Season 3 is back again to finish filming the hit series in Grassington. It retells the stories from author James Herriot’s fictional memoirs of his time as a vet in North Yorkshire. As the Yorkshire town is transformed into the fictional village of Darrowby once more, it hopefully won’t be too long until we can enjoy more hilarious antics.

The heartwarming Channel 5 drama has made Grassington a popular tourist spot due to the series’ success and we’ve been lucky enough to get some snaps of the gang as they had to the village to continue filming series three and we are falling in love once more.

John Leishman captured some fantastic images which show the place transformed once more into the pre-second world war world of Darrowby. The images displayed vintage cars as well as extras clothed in 1920 outfits.

One thing these behind the scenes images taken by John display is the attention to detail that goes into making All Creatures Great and Small as authentic as possible. From the front of shop displays to the vintage bikes hidden down alleyways.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a trip to Darrowby without a snap of the Drover’s Arm where our favourite cast members enjoy a nice pint of mild after a day of looking after the communities animals farm & domestic.

As well as John’s pictures, the popular Yorkshire Facebook page Into The Wild Yorkshire Style captured actor Callum Woodhouse who plays Tristan in a fedora watching the fake snow for the Winter scenes being sprayed.

These amazing scenes have got us in the mood, so much so that we’re going to have to rewatch series two to keep us satisfied until the new series 3 arrives.
