The Stunning Steakhouse Nestled Within One Of Leeds’ Prettiest Parks

Steak. There’s nowt quite like it. Especially when it’s done right. Now, of course, we’re not talking the chain pub-style stuff that mostly resembles a salty piece of cardboard with a watery ‘red wine’ sauce splattered on top of it that’s never seen an ounce of red wine in it’s life. We’re talking proper Yorkshire-reared beef that practically melts in the mouth. Now that’s the stuff.

And that’s exactly what’s on the menu at Chophaus.

An architecturally-beautiful restaurant nestled on the edge of the lovely Roundhay Park – which is ideally positioned within one of Leeds’ most upmarket suburbs – the restaurant burst onto the food scene late 2019, and has quickly become a local favourite.

Offering prime cuts, innovative cocktails, and a contemporary vibe all-round, Chophaus has become a destination in its own right – thanks to its mouth-watering selection of steak, steak and more steak, which is all sourced from beautiful Ripon near the Yorkshire Dales.

Injecting Asian-influences throughout the menu, guests can enjoy melt-in-the-mouth steaks, with plenty of cuts to choose from, chilli and yuzu glazed chicken, grilled Halibut with miso, mirin and sake, and even Korean chicken sliders for those fancying something a little different.

It’s a menu that’s almost impossible to choose from – given the pull is 100% the steak – with small plates aplenty having us drooling on sight.

On Sundays, the restaurant is also a popular destination for Sunday roasts, with thick gravy, premium meats and massive Yorkshire Puddings on offer. Trust us when we say, they’re definitely worth sacking off the family Sunday for.

Inside the venue, Chophaus sheds the typical outdated steakhouse image – trading the garish cow heads and hides for luxury leathers, brass finishes and industrial-style finishes.

Taking pride in their exceptional team who are highly knowledgable when it comes to both beef and wine, behind the bar, guests can expect a specially-curated selection of wines – including global whites, reds, rosés and champagnes which can be perfectly paired with steak.

Guests can also enjoy a lengthy menu of tasty cocktails – which includes classics such as the Aperol Spritz, Espresso Martini and Old Fashioned, as well as a number of in-house creations which range from the fruity to the deep and refreshing.

Chophaus can be found at Louis House, Princes Ave, Oakwood, Leeds, LS8 2FA – and is open every day from 12 noon til 10pm. Book a table here.
