Christmas is a few weeks away and places are getting ready for all things festive. After a fantastic Narnia Christmas experience last year, Castle Howard Christmas is back and this year they’re wishing you a happy ever after as they transform the house into a woodland fairytale like no other.
We are talking glass slippers, ballrooms, horsedrawn pumpkin carriage and anything you’d expect as a princess in a Christmas wonderland. Into the Woods: A Fairytale Christmas is the brainchild of Charlotte Lloyd Webber Event Design and The Projection Studio and after the sell-out success of last year’s Narnia experience they’re set to transform grand rooms into magical forests and faraway kingdoms
Starting in November you can experience a Christmas journey to mythical kingdoms and magical lands as the tales of childhood take over Castle Howard with knights, princesses, villains and more bringing the once-upon-a-time to Yorkshire.
Soak up the Christmas fun with roaring fires, Christmas trees, Santas Grottos and storytelling fun. Expect twinkling lights at dusk, sparkling trees and indulgent winter warmer in our cafes, all make your Christmas visit that bit more special.
When does Christmas at Castle Howard start?
From the 12th of November, you can enjoy the illuminating sight, sounds and projections curated especially for you as Castle Howard brings to life your favourite fairytales like never before.
Tickets will cost around £20 for the perfect festive trip for all the family. Extras such as a chance to meet Santa and watch a theatrical show in the main House can be added to your trip.
Will there be food & drink at this year’s Christmas event?
There will be a range of shops for gifts, and decorations along with locally sourced festive food and drink to complete your winter experience at this year’s Christmas at Castle Howard.
Don’t think about it too quickly as tickets are already selling out fast for the incredible fairy tale event at Castel Howard which is set to take place from November through December.
