An Outdoor Cinema Is Set To Take Over Leeds City Centre This Summer

LeedsSummer Series is returning for 2025 – bringing tons of incredible events for city dwellers to enjoy all summer long.

Kicking off in July, Millennium Square will become a hub of live entertainment and culture for the whole family to enjoy, with huge acts taking over the stage and the grand return of Cinema on the Square – which will screen films for all ages to enjoy, from family-friendly movies like Encanto, to Yorkshire classics such as Kes.

Before the cinema returns, however, Sounds of the City will bring huge acts to the stage, including Mika, The Black Keys, Shed Seven and The Lathums, who’ll be playing on various dates throughout July.

The ticketed events are set to bring a huge buzz to the city, which already benefits from the major Leeds Festival that takes place annually at Bramham Park.

Cinema on the Square will follow on the 31st July for a long weekend of movie madness, boasting a huge roster of films ranging from Bollywood hits to sing-along screenings. Each screening is ticketed, however, there are discounted options should you wish to see multiple showings.
